Acupuncture treatments identify a pattern of energetic imbalance within a patient and redress that disharmony through a variety of therapies that include acupuncture needling, cupping, acupressure, and exercises such as tai ji and qi gong, and also Chinese herbal preparations. They insert thin needles along the body's meridians, or energy vessels, to relieve tension, release energy and stimulate the body.
